Description
Gymnocalycium intertextum is a small to medium-sized globular cactus native to Argentina. It has a flattened to slightly spherical body with a grey-green to dark green color and distinct, well-defined ribs. The areoles are small and woolly, bearing short, thin, slightly curved spines in light grey to brown shades.
The flowers appear at the top of the plant, are relatively large, and usually white to pale pink with a subtle greenish throat. Flowering occurs mainly in spring and summer. This species prefers bright light, well-draining mineral soil, moderate watering, and a cool, dry winter rest.
