Description
Agave victoriae-reginae ‘Compacta’ is a slow-growing, dwarf cultivar of Queen Victoria agave, forming a very tight, symmetrical rosette of thick, dark green leaves. The leaves are short, broad, and rigid, marked with crisp white lines along the margins and sometimes across the surface, and end in a small, sharp terminal spine. Compared to the typical species, ‘Compacta’ remains smaller and denser, usually reaching about 20–30 cm in height and diameter, making it especially prized for container growing and ornamental displays. It prefers bright light, excellent drainage, and sparse watering, and is valued for its sculptural, almost geometric appearance.
